‘bloom’ 🌷

Mia’s Bloom artworks hybridize time, technology, and nature; botanicals take on new meaning as surreal stretching shapes bloom upward to reveal a DNA-like helix structure, inviting the audience to contemplate how species morph, change, survive, and thrive over time. Merging the physical ephemera with digital generative processing, the artworks challenge antiquated notions of still life.

Pieces from Mia’s bloom series have been recognized by the Tweed Regional Art Gallery (Wollumbin Art Award, Emerging Artist Award Recipient, 2022), judged by Susi Muddiman and Ali Kubler, Still: National Still Life Award (finalist, 2023), and the Byron Art Prize (finalist, 2022). Artworks from Bloom marked Mia’s debut solo exhibition at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery, NSW, in 2023.

Select Bloom pieces have been cuated for international exhibit including at Art Basel (Miami, 2022), Vellum LA, United States (Artists Who Code, 2022), Lone Goat Gallery, NSW, Australia (Cite, 2023).

Artworks from bloom are licensed by Standard Vision (USA), sugar.glider (AUS), and Artpoint (FR) for public art displays and prop tech.
